1. SHAWNNA GETS DROPPED FROM DTP…
SOHH put truth to the speculation that Ludacris dropped Shawnna from his Disturbing tha Peace record label. Ludacris was ‘allegedly’ quoted as saying: “Shawnna is a very talented artist but is no longer rocking with DTP”. Shawnna released several albums, but “Gettin Some Head” was her only major hit.

2. BRANDY GOT FIRED…
Rumors about Brandy being replaced as a judge on NBC’s hit series America’s Got Talented began to surface late last week, and were confirmed by TMZ on Monday. The website confirmed that she was replaced by Sharon Osbourne. Rumor has it that her involvement in a December car wreck in Los Angeles that left a mother dead had a lot to do with the decision to get rid of Brandy.

3. INUS CALLS RUTGERS WOMENS BASKETBALL TEAM ‘NAPPY HEADED HOES’…
Now this is the story that I’m sure everybody has heard about by now. Radio host Bob Inus was commentating on the NCAA women’s basketball championship game when he referred to the ladies of Rutgers University’s basketball team as “nappy headed hoes” and said that the ladies of the Tennessee team were much more attractive. The comments sparked outrage among the nation, and Inus’ racist ass got fired by both MSNBC and CBS. Unfortunately, nothing can replace the hurt and embarrassment that the girls of Rutgers and their coach have had to go through this week.

4. G-UNIT DROPS OLIVIA…
Rumors started circulating that Olivia had been droped from G-Unit records as early as March, but these rumors were confirmed when 50 Cent appeared on Miss Jones’ radio show last week. Here’s what he said about getting rid of Olivia: “There was just so many miscommunications going on with the actual project. That it frustrated me to the point, that I felt like I gotta focus on 50 Cent.” Now Olivia also claims that she was sexually harassed by members of G-Unit on several occasions, and when she refused to perform sexual favors, 50 got rid of her. Hmm… doesn’t sound too far fetched to me.

5. REMY MA GETS RELEASED FROM TERROR SQUAD…
And finally in bad news for black women, Remy Ma was officially released from Terror Squad this week. In this case though, she was the one who requested to be released. She said “We no longer had the same goals. They’re used to me being ‘little’ Remy who wanted all the fly sneakers, a nice whip and the biggest chain you ever saw on a girl.” She’s currently working on a new album, called Punish-Her, but if you recall, her first album There’s Something About Remy only pushed 75,000 in its first week.
