E! has become the second network to cancel the reality series The Simple Life, which stars Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. E! announced Monday that they will not pick up the series next season. The show originally aired on FOX and was picked up by E! last year after FOX pulled the plug on the series. E! blamed ‘overexposure’ for the shows cancellation…
We felt like the real life drama of their lives overshadowed anything happening on the show. Viewers would see Paris all day long on the news about her going to jail, so they didn’t care about seeing her camping with kids. It just was too played out.
Ahhhhh uuuuuu!!!! Everybody and they momma got a video of them ‘crankin dat Soulja Boy’. So since I’m bored, I decided to post some of the best, the worst, and the funniest… Enjoy!
Presedential contender Barack Obama is featured on the covers for the September 2007 double issue of VIBE magazine. (I mean really, could they have gotten any closer on that second cover?) {click image to enlarge}
McDonald’s announced Monday that rapper Twista has been dropped from the lineup for the 10-city nationwide concert series, according to the Associated Press. Mickey D’s cited his ‘controversial lyrics’ as the reason to why he was dropped. William Whitman, a spokesperson for McDonald’s had this to say:
Although we respect free speech and artistic expression, we do not condone or perpetuate derogatory language. We want to ensure these free concerts are fun as well as appropriate for all of our customers.
And Twista had this to say:
They started hearing things … feeling like they were getting a little flak, and I felt like rather than stick by me and stick through it, they got scared. I’ve been rapping the same way for 15 years. It only became a problem when Don Imus said something negative about black women and they needed a scapegoat.
Now McDonald’s knew good and well that’s how that dude raps. Why the hell did they sign him to the tour in the first place if lyrics were a problem? Twista even said that they listened to his music and said they were fans. Folks are so shady nowadays.

After 4 years, the bobbleheadStar Jones-Reynolds has finally admitted that gastric bypass aided in her dramatic weight loss. Jones, who had the surgery in August 2003, said keeping the surgery a secret made her a ‘hypocrite.’ Star admits to the surgery in the September issue of Glamour magazine, due on newsstands August 7th.
Everything about me was already so public (mostly my own doing — talk about dumb!), so of course everyone wanted to know what I had done. I was also terrified someone would have a tragic result after emulating me without making an informed decision with her doctor. But the complete truth is, I was scared of what people might think of me. I was afraid to be vulnerable, and ashamed at not being able to get myself under control without this procedure.
Maybe if she’d admitted to this a couple of years ago, she’d still have her job on The View. One of the main reasons she was fired released from the show is because viewers didn’t like her because they knew she was lying. At least she finally admitted though.

Since I’ve been busy the past few weeks, I wasn’t able to post a lot of things and this was one… While I was out, Deelishis’ (of Flavor of Love fame) new video for ‘Rumpshaker’ debuted online. And the song title is appropriate, cus this chick got one of the biggest booty’s I’ve ever seen. But, I really don’t see this one making it on TV… it would be perfect for BET’s Uncut if it were still around… What do you think?
This is the second single off of Eve’s upcoming album Here I Am, which is due in stores on September 18th. I’m kinda feelin this one, it’s very different from what other rappers are doing. And the video is hot! Eve completely switched up her style for this album and so far it’s looking like it’ll be pretty dope, yall make sure yall cop it in September.
“When this song come on in the club they gone be like daaammnn that’s hot!” Enough said… By the way, it’s good to see both Missy and Kim in a video again.

Mounting backlash against an upcoming BET series accused of trafficking in racial stereotypes has prompted at least two advertisers to pull out of the premiere episode on the Viacom Inc.-owned channel.
Sources said Monday that such companies as State Farm Insurance Cos. and the Home Depot requested that their advertisements be yanked from the new comedy series “Hot Ghetto Mess” as well as from a Web page on BET.com touting the program.
The corporate retreat appeared to be in response to a growing chorus of critics who have been calling for an advertiser boycott of the series, which is scheduled to premiere at 10:30 p.m. July 25
