Chris Brown feat. Kanye West - “Down” [Listen]
This is definitely a new sound from Chris Brown. I’m really diggin’ the whole rock influence and Kanye’s verses are hot as always. But I’m not sure about the rest of the song; it seems like it’s missing something. Maybe it’ll grow on me, but it is a lot hotter than some of the other material that has leaked from his upcoming album, Exclusive.
Chris Brown - “With You” [Listen]
This Stargate-produced track has like the same guitar sample as “Irreplaceable.” This is supposedly going to be Chris’ third single off of Exclusive, but they might want to rethink. It’s an okay song, but it belongs to another person. He’s just trying to have a “pop” sound. The pop charts will eat this up though.
This time last year, the Clipse complained to anyone who’d listen how unhappy it was on Jive Records. Now, the act’s wish to leave has been granted. Sibling MCs Malice and Pusha T have ended their deal with Jive and the Neptunes’ Star Trak Entertainment in favor of a new arrangement with Columbia, Billboard has learned.
The Clipse emerged early this decade on Star Trak, which at the time was distributed by Arista. The duo’s 2002 debut, “Lord Willin’,” was a critical and commercial smash, and has sold 948,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
When Arista was restructured in 2004, the label’s artists were split between J and Jive. But Star Trak joined Interscope, leaving the Clipse behind at Jive. The act lobbied to be allowed to follow Star Trak to its new home, but Jive refused, resulting in a lawsuit that sought to break the Clipse’s four-album deal (Jive had no comment at deadline).
I know I’m kinda late, but I figured I’d post Mary J. Blige’s new video for “Just Fine” anyway. The video is okay and the song (which was produced by Jazze Pha) has like an old school vibe to it. It’ll have to grown on me though. Mary’s new album Growing Pains is set to hit stores on December 11.
Above is the much anticipated interview between Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson. It is a part of Myspace’s Artist on Artist series and it’s Owen’s first public interview since his highly publicized suicide attempt. I watched the interview and it’s kind of just blah… But it’s good to see that he’s back and is doing better.

Finally, the new layout is complete! I’ve been slaving away redesigning the website on top of homework and stuff the past few days, and I am glad to say that it is done and I am very pleased with the final product. I hope you guys are too. While I was doing the new layout, my hosting company also upgraded the server, so all pages at the DH should load a lot faster now. The new layout and faster loading times are already paying off. Visitation to the site is EXTREMELY heavy today!
But like I said, redesigning was a lot of hard work, so I’m taking a little break. Don’t worry, regular posting will return tonight. In the meantime, browse the site and check out the new features. You can now upload avatars for your blog profiles, which will be displayed next to your name when you comment. VideoPicks are back but now have their own page, so be sure to check those out as well. And comment, comment, comment! Also, we need to get the message board popular again. So if you’ve just been reading the blog all this time, please go register for the message board too.
Thanks for all you guys’ loyalty and I hope yall are diggin’ the new layout!

When Britney Spears and lil’ sis Jamie Lynn Spears stepped out to grab a bite to eat at an L.A. restaurant Sunday, they were met by hundreds of paparazzos, of course, but also a crazy woman who bravely yelled to Britney “No one wants you in this neighborhood… you’re making this neighborhood unsafe.” And to that, Jamie Lynn got right in her face and said “Well then move the f**k out!” That’s what I’m talkin about! Who knew Jamie Lynn was so hardcore! Check out the video of the whole fiasco at TMZ.
