Chris Brown’s Well-Produced Apology

Chris Brown’s official apology

So I fell off my game a little bit over the past few days with the blogging; my bad. One of the things I missed during my little break was Chris Brown‘s controversial video apology, which was posted to his official YouTube channel Monday.

It is the first time he publicly apologized to fans and to Rihanna, who, as you all know, was assaulted by Chris in Los Angeles the night before the Grammys back in February.

It appears to me that this video apology was completely orchestrated by his public relations team. He clearly read straight off a teleprompter, and the timing is extremely strange — 5 months after the incident. He’s been in the studio recording, and his PR team probably felt that this video was necessary before starting to promote his new album.

I don’t think that Chris Brown is insincere about regretting and being sorry about what happened — he’s not a monster, he just made a really big mistake. But I felt that this video was very rehearsed, very produced, and very insincere. It’s just not something he should have done at this time. In my opinion, this video will upset people even more. He should fire his PR team, because this was a very bad move.

I wish him luck with getting his career back to the level it was before, but it looks like that will be very difficult — if not impossible.

Agreed. No one’s even talking about it anymore which means everyone’s already made their mind up about the situation. A public apology should’ve come much much sooner.

Chris Brown is an abusive boyfriend. He beats Rihanna badly.
