A judge has delayed Chris Brown‘s sentencing to August 27th, awaiting official word from the State of Virginia on whether or not Chris will be able to perform community labor there.

Chris was in a Los Angeles court today facing formal sentencing after pleading guilty in June to felony assault against his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Chris will serve five years probation and six months of community labor, not community service, as part of his plea deal.
