Lady Gaga
The storyline is that Kanye is on one end of the stage and I’m on the other, and the whole show, we are trying to get to where each other is. I want something that he has, which is the fame, and he wants something that I have, which is home, and my humble beginnings. So we battle each other throughout the entire performance to steal each other’s spaces. So I’m essentially on a quest to kill Kanye West to steal his fame.
– Lady Gaga, explaining the concept of her upcoming Fame Kills tour with Kanye West

Kate Gosselin and her litter kids.
Who didn’t see this coming? TLC has announced that it told Jon Gosselin to take his ass to the left, to the left. His name is being dropped from “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” and the show will be renamed “Kate Plus 8″ starting on November 2nd in order to reflect Kate Gosselin’s new life as a single momma. Womp womp. From Yahoo! News:
“Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family,” said Eileen O’Neill, president and general manager of TLC, the cable channel that airs the show.
“Kate Plus 8″ will document Gosselin’s life as a single mother raising 5-year-old sextuplets and 8-year-old twins.
Jon will continue to appear on the show, but on a less regular basis

Chris Brown debuts new single to fans
Chris Brown took to his blog and twitter yesterday to debut his new single, “I Can Transform Ya,” produced by and featuring Swizz Beats and also featuring Lil Wayne.
The song is apparently the lead single off his comeback album Graffiti. Take a listen:
What do you think? I think it’s one of those songs that has to grow on you, but pause… why is he releasing a single in the middle of his community service/probation stint? You can tell he really wants to get back to work because he has not been wasting any time.
I have to say he made some really bad PR moves since the infamous beatdown in February: the jet ski photos from Miami, that scripted apology video, that ridiculous CNN interview, etc. But still, I’m sure he really is sorry about the incident so I wish him the best.

Serena Williams
Despite Serena Williams’s little incident at the U.S. Open a few weeks ago (you know, when she went slap off on a line judge), the endorsement deals for the tennis superstar keep on pouring in (very poor choice of words for this topic).
She has signed on to appear in ads for Tampax, and her first commercial is causing just a drop little bit of controversy.
In the ad, it’s Serena vs. Mother Nature, and it’s Mother Nature’s comments that have people giving the side eye. Her quote: “Bad blood? Well there is plenty of blood, but none of it’s bad.” Oh… my… God.

Skater dude steals on Yung Berg
Lawd Jeebus! Rapper Yung Berg is forever getting embarrassed via Internet videos. Over the weekend, he got punched in the head after messing with a group of skaters in Los Angeles. And what did he do after that? Nothing. Womp womp. Watch the foolishness above.

In an interview on Sunday’s Meet the Press on NBC, New York governor David Patterson said he indeed plans to run for governor in 2010, despite rumors that the White House personally asked him not to run. Patterson also said that President Obama did not ask him to step aside from the governor’s race.
New Yorkers, do you find this to be good news or bad news? Also, am I the only one who can’t watch an interview with him without thinking of the Saturday Night Live impersonations?

Conan O’Brien falls for Teri Hatcher
Here’s video of the accident that caused Conan O’Brien to cancel Friday’s taping of NBC’s The Tonight Show.
Conan was doing a triathlon skit with actress Teri Hatcher when he slipped and fell on stage, hitting his head. Taping of the show was canceled, and Conan was admitted to the hospital for a concussion.
I know he had to go to the hospital and all, but why is it always so damn funny when people fall?

Comedian Mo’Nique prepares to enter the world of late night
The Queen of Comedy Mo’Nique is getting ready for her new late-night talk show on BET, scheduled to premiere on the network Monday, October 5th, at 10 p.m. central. From BET’s official press release:
From A-list celebrity guests to sizzling performances by the hottest musical artists in the game, Mo’Nique delivers viewers a fun-filled hour of entertainment every night. With a resident deejay to keep the studio audience on their feet and Mo’Nique bringing the funny as only she can, THE MO’NIQUE SHOW will undoubtedly force viewers to extend their bedtime an extra hour.
BET’s new late night show bridges the gap between “old school” and today’s entertainment culture through innovative and humored-filled segments that pay homage to legendary stars, as well as spotlight today’s celebrities and their contributions to better our communities and the world at large.
“I’m very excited to finally bring my signature voice and comedy to late night television,” said Mo’Nique, host of new BET late night show THE MO’NIQUE SHOW. “This show will definitely give BET viewers the late night show experience, but at the same time, offer something uniquely different to the late show circuit
, and I can’t think of a better home to welcome cable’s late night female host but BET.”
Cool. I love love love Mo’Nique so I know I’ll be tuning in. Let’s just hope it’s not a hot mess disaster like most of the other crap on BET.
Check out one of the commercials for the show here.
Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom (Is it me, or does his look say “What have I done!?” LOL!)
Looks like the rumors of a wedding switcharoo with pregnant older sister Kourtney Kardashian get the big ass false stamp — Khloe Kardashian and L.A. Laker Lamar Odom really got married yesterday in a star-studded wedding in Los Angeles.
The wedding was complete with cameras for the E! reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians, as well as helicopters and media galore. I’m still in disbelief that this wedding actually made my local news — Jesus, take the frickin’ wheel!
Folks at the wedding included Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest, Ryan Seacrest, LaLa Vasquez, Adrienne Bailon, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Babyface.

Lauren Conrad, former star of The Hills
OK, OK, so that’s not really how she put it. But when asked if she’ll tune into the new season of The Hills in a recent mini-interview with MTV, former Hills star Lauren Conrad responded “probably not!” I don’t blame her — nobody wants to see that mess!
L.C. also says that she will not be popping up on any episodes of the show anytime soon, but she does plan on supporting her friend and former co-star Whitney Port by watching her series The City.
You can catch the season premieres of both The Hills and The City this Tuesday night at 9 p.m. CST on MTV.

Sean “Diddy” Combs
Looks like even Diddy realizes how horrible his parent record label, Warner Music Group/Atlantic, is. Variety announced over the weekend that the rap mogul is leaving that label after 5 years. His Bad Boy Entertainment label will remain under Atlantic Records, meaning acts like Cassie and Day 26 will stay put at Atlantic, while Diddy is rumored to be releasing his latest project Last Train to Paris via Interscope Records.
With his contract wrapped, Sean “Diddy” Combs is ankling Warner Music Group/Atlantic Records as an artist.
Much-rumored departure does not affect WMG’s joint venture with the hip-hop impresario’s imprint Bad Boy Entertainment and its acts, the output of which will continue to move through Atlantic. Combs’ Bad Boy catalog remains at WMG in perpetuity.
Combs had not been prolific during his five years with WMG: He issued one album, “Press Play,” in 2006. Set debuted at No. 1 nationally.
Recent industry scuttlebutt has placed Combs’ forthcoming album “Last Train to Paris” at Interscope.
Maybe if he somehow manages to move Bad Boy to Interscope, he can actually keep artists — his artist have been running like hell from Bad Boy over the years.
