“Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart” is another leaked track from Alicia Keys’ upcoming album The Element of Freedom — in stores on December 15.
After giving this a couple of listens, I have to say that I really, really love this song. It has an undeniable 1980s feel, and you know, I’ve noticed that I’ve been listening to a lot of ’80s or ’80s-inspired music lately. I’ll definitely be adding this one to the list.

Rocsi does Honey Magazine
Rocsi, co-host of BET’s 106 & Park, is in the new issue of Honey Magazine, and she is opening up about everything from all the hate she has received via blogs to what she’ll be for Halloween — Lady Gaga, she says. (Love it!) Check it out:
On negative attention from blogs:
I think a lot of these Web sites need a story. They need to find somebody to pick on, and I just so happen to be one of those girls. I’ve always had that coming up against Free on a black network and not being black. I got where I’m at because of my work. I never had to lay on my back to get where I was. I come from a Latino background where family and the way we were brought up was very important. That’s how we conducted ourselves as ladies. And that’s a very important thing to my family, so yeah, when these blogs come out and they start talking shit — you’re messing with what my parents instilled in me. And I know it isn’t true. But I’m glad I have great family members who know that I wasn’t brought up that way, to not be blinded by this industry… Internet gangsters are so tough. They’re so tough.
On the dating rumors:
With men in my life, I’ve always made good choices. I would love to think that. It’s just really hard to trust people, and that’s just coming from not knowing everybody’s intentions… I just went out last night, and I had a genuine good time. I hardly ever really go out. And the next day its ‘Rocsi’s dating … popping bottles with Trey Songz … tryna get with …’ I was like ‘What?! No, I wasn’t even sitting at his table!’” If I take a picture with somebody, I make it a point not even to put my arm around them. And it’s so hard because people just want to pick on you. I’m like ‘Dude, you don’t sleep with everyone you take a picture with.’ Like, come on. I think it’s getting to an ignorant stage.
On being strong in the industry:
I mean it’s real bad when it gets to the point where everything’s so unbearable. You really got to have that strength, because if I didn’t have that strength in me, I would kill myself. There are some days when I’m like ‘How bad do I want to kill myself right now? What is the point of going on when so many people despise me or hate what I do?’
Wow. Honestly, I don’t see why people throw shade at her much. Are people still bitter about AJ and Free leaving? I mean come on, it was bound to happen. They’ve moved on, so should you. Rocsi does a good job on the show, and I admire her and Terrence J’s grind. Meanwhile, check out more shots from Rocsi’s Honey Mag spread below:
Chris Brown has people going nuts over his comeback performance Tuesday at Power 105.1’s Powerhouse 2009 concert at the Izod Center in New Jersey.
Chris headlined the event, while artists such as Day 26, Trey Songz, The-Dream and Keri Hilson opened for him. Chris’s performances were very, very well-received according to reports.
He opened with his new single “I Can Transform Ya,” followed by performances of past hits like “Forever”, “Gimme That” and “Kiss, Kiss.” Watch a couple of those performances below.
Check out the performances from Keri Hilson, after the jump.
On an episode of “Rita Rocks” on Lifetime, Tisha Campbell-Martin sang the chorus of Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy.” I knew she sang on a couple episodes of “Martin” but I didn’t she had it like THAT! She better get it!!!
But the other young lady, Nicole Sullivan, not so much. But at least you’re trying =).
By the way, if you don’t know who Gina from “Martin” is, slap yourself real quick.
Bob Griese totally wants to offend all of Latin America
ESPN commentator Bob Griese now faces a one week suspension after he made a racially insensitive remark about Colombian NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya.
The remark was made as several ESPN broadcasters took a break from college football coverage to discuss NASCAR news. One of the broadcasters asked “Where’s Juan Pablo Montoya?” to which Griese responded “He’s out getting a taco!” Que ridículo y racista!
Griese apologized after the game, but clearly that wasn’t enough to cover his ass. Montoya didn’t make a big deal about the comment and said that he’d never even heard of Bob Griese. Womp womp.
Watch the video above to hear Griese’s comment and apology.
Flo Rida debuts new video directly to the freak nasties
Most artists choose to exclusively premiere their new music videos on MTV or BET, or even YouTube or Twitter. But rapper Flo Rida wanted to do something different. He premiered his video for “Touch Me” exclusively on the AdultFriendFinder website.
I have a question: who the hell are his PR people? I get the idea: debut a video for a freaky song on a website full of freak nasty users. But is that really a strong audience? All I know is that I doubt other artists will be rushing to debut their new videos on AdultFriendFinder.

Take a listen to “Rockband”, yet another leaked track from the upcoming new album from Usher titled Raymond vs. Raymond. The song is produced by RedOne, the producer behind many of Lady Gaga’s hits.
I’m not so sure about how I feel about this one. It’s not that it’s bad — Usher has a very solid vocal performance on this — it’s just that nothing really stands out to me with this one. I think that working with RedOne is a hit or miss situation. He works well with Lady Gaga and Sean Kingston, but listening to this single makes me think that maybe a RedOne/Usher collaboration is a miss.
In his new autobiography, Hulk Hogan admits that he almost committed suicide after his wife filed for divorce and his son’s horrific accident, both of which occurred in 2007.
The Hulk reveals in My Life Outside the Ring that one night he popped a series of Xanax pills and rum — with a gun in his hand.
“I could feel the life draining out of me,” he said. “It had me curling my index finger on the trigger of a loaded handgun and putting it in my mouth.”
But thankfully, he received a life-saving call from Laila Ali that made him reconsider everything and led him to rediscover his faith.
Glad to see that he pulled through. I always felt for the Hulk because you can’t deny that all the stuff he went through that year was just too much. And don’t EVEN get me started on Linda. I see why Brooke Hogan just can’t get along with her mom these days.
