Fame Killed: Lady Gaga/Kanye tour canceled

Live Nation, promoter for the highly anticipated Fame Kills tour starring Kanye West and Lady Gaga, announced tonight that the tour has officially been canceled. Womp womp.
No word on what may have caused the sudden cancellation, but rumors have spread that Lady Gaga pulled out, while other rumors have stated that ticket sales were poor. Yeah right. That’s why rumors are simply rumors.
More than likely, Kanye West was not playing around when he said on “The Jay Leno Show” last month that he would be taking some time off after the whole Taylor Swift/VMA incident. He seemed super serious when he said that he needed a break to rethink and refocus, and a huge, North American tour would not be possible for someone trying to take a break from the industry.
As a fan of both Gaga and Kanye, I’ve gotta say I’m disappointed in the cancellation. But Kanye knows he was out of line at the VMAs, and maybe it’s best that he does step off the scene for a while and refocus.
