Final thoughts on 2009 & New Year wishes
We are just a few hours shy of 2010 here in the United States.
Even though there were quite a few major, sad moments this year, there was a lot of good. Republican or Democrat, you have to admit that it was incredible to see an African American man be sworn in as the President. And while we lost the King of Pop, we were given so much great pop music and new iconic artists.
On a personal note, 2009 has been an amazing year for me. I graduated college, got a great job, met new people, moved to a new city, and now here at the heels of a new year I’m headed off to another new city, Los Angeles, and starting a new exciting chapter.
I wish you all the best for 2010, and I want to give this little bit of advice. Something I’ve learned over the past couple of years is that instead of setting big, nearly-unrealistic goals, you can gain a lot of confidence and self-esteem by setting smaller, more attainable goals. Example: Instead of making a goal to work out everyday for the year, make a goal to work out two or three times this week. When you accomplish that, you will be so proud of yourself and that will help you in the long-run in accomplishing your bigger dreams and goals.
Okay, enough of me. Check out the video mash-up above of 2009′s Top 25 Billboard pop hits — it’s incredible! Have fun tonight, be safe, and Happy New Year!
