Conan’s final thoughts on NBC’s Tonight Show

NBC’s The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien is no more.

Last night was CoCo’s final episode of “Tonight,” and despite what you may have thought about his relationship with NBC, Conan actually thanked them. After acknowledging their current differences, he expressed how proud he was of the work he did with them during his 20 years at the network — starting with “Saturday Night Live,” “Late Night,” and the short-lived “Tonight Show.”

I’ll have to admit, his speech got me. Yes, I am Team Leno, but I feel so bad for Conan. NBC put both of them in such awful, disastrous situations, and I really hate that Conan’s time at NBC had to end in such a messy way. Hopefully, he will be able to return to New York with his original ‘Late Night’ crew, and they will put together a great show on another network. I wish him the best.

Jay Leno will be returning to the Tonight Show on March 1st, and he is currently scheduled to have a tell-all interview with Oprah, which is scheduled to air Thursday. An offer was extended to Conan O’Brien to appear on Oprah, but he has not yet accepted.
