Unless you have been sitting under a rock for the past week, you know that a marriage license was obtained by Beyonce and Jay-Z in Scarsdale Village, NY, on Monday, April 1st.

Of course we all know that April 1st is April Fool’s Day, but this whole thing may actually not be a joke. Some type of ceremony took place tonight in New York, and hundreds of paparazzi have gotten footage of guests arriving in white to what appears to be a reception at Jay-Z’s Tribeca (NYC) apartment.

Tina Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Solange Knowles, and Gwyneth Paltrow have all been photographed arriving to this ‘mysterious’ event dressed in white.

Also, earlier today Kelly and Michelle released a video blog on YouTube saying they were in a hotel in an ‘undisclosed location.’ Very intersting.

So is hip-hop’s biggest couple since 2003 finally tying the not, or are they playing one of the biggest pranks a celebrity has ever played on the public in history?

At least 5 students are dead after a gunman dressed in all-black opened fire in a classroom Thursday at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, before turning the gun on himself.

Four women and one man were killed and 16 other students were injured in the attack. According to witnesses, the gunman burst into the class in Cole Hall, located near the center of the campus, and opened fire. According to administrators, around 160 students are registered for the class.

Last December, the Chicago Tribune reported that threats had been found at NIU “on a bathroom wall that included a racial slur and references to the Virginia Tech shootings.” The campus was placed on a high security alert following the threats and closed for one day as police investigated.

This is the fourth school shooting in the United States within one week. Two were killed in a shooting on the campus of Lousiana Technical College last week, two shootings occurred in Memphis, Tenn. this week, and a middle school student is now brain dead after a school shooting in Oxnard, Calif.

Actor Heath Ledger, probably best known for his Oscar-nominated performance in Brokeback Mountain, has died.

The 28-year-old Australian-born actor was found dead in his Manhattan apartment by a housekeeper. Ledger had an appointment for a massage, but when the houskeeper went to notify Ledger that the massage therapist had arrived, the housekeeper found a naked Ledger unconscious in his bed.

NYPD officials say that sleeping pills were found near the body, but it is not clear whether or not the death was accidental or a suicide. An autopsy will be performed tomorrow.

Ledger relocated to Los Angeles from Australia at the age of 19 and landed his first role starring opposite Julia Stiles in 10 Things I Hate About You. He had roles in films such as Brokeback Mountain, A Knight’s Tale, Monster’s Ball, and The Lords of Dogtown. He recently completed filming his role as the Joker in The Dark Kinght, a sequal to the 2005 film Batman Begins.

Ledger was previously engaged to Michelle Williams, whom he met while filming Brokeback Mountain. The couple had a child together in 2005. The two called it quits in late 2007.

Usher Raymond III pictured in a mugshot. The singer’s father struggled with substance abuse and once spent 11 months in jail.

It has been confirmed that Usher’s father, Usher Raymond III, died Friday in an Atlanta area hospital. A cause of death has not been released.

We’re told that Usher, his wife Tameka Foster, and his mother Jonetta Patton were all at his father’s side at the time of his death.

Usher’s father split with Jonetta when Usher was only a baby. He has battled with cocaine abuse and has spent some time in prison for shoplifting in Chattanooga, Tennesssee.

Despite his father’s behavior, Usher always tried to maintain a strong relationship with his father.

A rep for rapper/collaborator Nate Dogg, who suffered a mild stroke over the holidays, says his chances for a full recovery are good.

The stroke left the rapper paralyzed on the left side of his body; however, the stroke did not cause brain damage and did not affect his speech.

Early rumors suggested that Nate Dogg had suffered from a heart attack and was recovering at home. His rep says those rumors are false, and slammed the release of a 911 tape where Nate Dogg’s girlfriend can be heard phoning the police. Nate’s rep told MTV News:

We definitely wish Nate Dogg a speedy recovery.

VH1 reality show queen Tiffany Pollard, known to fans as New York, strongly denies that she is the female featured in a sex tape that leaked to the Internet earlier this week.

The person who leaked the tape claimed that it was filmed while New York was in Miami to celebrate the New Year with her fiance and I Love New York season 2 winner George “Tailor Made” Weisgerber.

New York told the New York Post that the person in the video is “absolutely not” her. She says:

I’m sure if it were really New York in the video, she would have cashed in on it by now. Trust me, New York is a business woman.

In case you didn’t know, Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds spent the New Year’s holiday getting married on a private island near Bora Bora in French Polynesia in front of an exclusive group of close friends and relatives. This is one of the first pictures from the ceremony.

Eddie and his ex-wifey Nicole Mitchell, who filed for divorce in ‘05, have five children. He also has a daughter by Mel. B. of the Spice Girls.

Tracey has two children with ex-hubby Babyface, with whom she was married for 13 years.

Don Imus is scheduled to return to radio Monday, Dec. 3rd, the Associated Press reports.

Imus’ Obituary Face’s show will kick off at 6 a.m. eastern on WABC-AM, as well as several other Citadel Broadcasting Corp. stations throughout the country.

Tickets to the permiere were sold for $100 to benefit the Imus Ranch for Kids. The show’s four-hour premiere will be broadcast from Times Square, while future broadcasts will be made from a studio near Madison Square Garden weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST.

Linda Bollea has filed for divorce from her husband, wrestler Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea), the Associated Press reports.

And it looks like Hogan doesn’t know best after all. The Hulkster, who is currently in Los Angeles preparing to host American Gladiators, had no idea that his wife had filed for a divorce. He was informed of the news by a St. Petersberg Times reporter.

“Thank you for the great information,” Hulk told the reporter. “Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me.”

The couple has been married for 24 years.

I feel sorry for the Hulk. She should’ve called him first, not the newspapers.

To celebrate their pregnancy, Halle Berry recently bought her boyfriend and baby-daddy Gabriel Aubry a fully-loaded Mercedes-Benz S600, worth around $150K.

So let me get this straight, he gets to go home to one of the hottest and best-paid women in Hollywood and she buys him a car? This dude has it made!

According to People, Blake Fielder-Civil, husband to the rehab-resisting British singer Amy Winehouse, will spend Christmas in jail.

A judge denied Fielder-Civil bail today, and he will remain in jail awaiting a Jan. 18th hearing.

Fielder-Civil has been held in custody since Nov. 8th, when undercover police officers arrested him for witness tampering. Fielder-Civil was to be tried on charges of assault on Nov. 12th, and allegedly tried to bribe a witness to alter their testimony.

Winehouse arrived at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London and sat on the front row of the public gallery. Fielder-Civil whispered “I love you” and “You all right? You OK?” to his wife, who appeared teary-eyed during much of the hearing.

Winehouse is currently on tour in the UK and is scheduled to perform tonight at the Brixton Academy in London.

Dr. Donda West, mother and manager of Kanye West, passed away Saturday in Los Angeles. She was 58. Although official details surrounding the death have not been released, various sources have reported that Dr. West may have died as a result of complications from a surgery.

Kanye and his mom were extremely close, so I know he’s probably taking this pretty hard. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
