Now this song was and still is ‘hot’. After a lengthy hiatus, Nicole did release a single and video late last year, but it failed to create any sort of a buzz. Videos like this bring back memories and really make me miss the 90s. Check out the cameo from the late Aaliyah towards the end.
Sorry I’m so late with this yall, but I’ve been in class all day. Remember, if you have any ideas/suggestions for Throwback Thursday videos, e-mail me at feedback@thadh.com.
Trick Daddy - I’m A Thug
I know yall remember this one. It’s when the phrase “Trick Love The Kids” first really caught on. Check it out:
This is Tha Carter! Haha, this song was and still is off tha chain to me. This video was realeased late 2004 and is off of Lil’ Waynes Tha Carter LP. Check the video:
Okay yall, I’m sorry about the lack of posts these past few days, but school just started back. So I’ve been getting accustomed to my new classes and buying books and all that good stuff. Once I get settled, I promise I’ll keep this place updated. Anywho, here are my picks for today’s, well tonight’s, Throwback Thursday.
Case - Happily Ever After
Okay so this was a hot song back in the day; still is. I don’t know what happened to Case, dude had some real talent. Other hits of his include “Touch Me, Tease Me”, “Faded Pictures”, “Missing You”, and “Not Your Friend.” This song here came out in 1999 I think, and oh yeah Beyonce is in this vid. Check it out:
Sorry I’m late with this but it’s still Thursday, so here’s my two Throwback Thursday picks:
Alicia Keys - Girlfriend
Okay this song is off her hit debut album Songs In A Minor that came out back in 2001. If you payed attention to her video for “Fallin”, you heard this joint at the very beginning. The main reason I picked it is because I never knew this video existed until yesterday. Enjoy:
Check the second Throwback Thursday video after the jump.
Since this the first “Throwback Thursday,” let me explain how this will work. Every Thursday I’ll post two old school music videos of my picking, or you can request one by sending me an e-mail at thadoghouse@gmail.com..
The first pick is “After Party” by Koffee Brown. Yall remember them right? This song was pretty big back in 2001, but unfortunately the album Mars/Venus that came out the same year was their last… I really liked them, and I remember I bought that album… anyway here’s the vid:
Okay my next pick is from Missy Elliott and is called “Beep Me 911.” It featured 702, Timbaland, and Magoo. This song is hot and I miss videos like this… Oh and this song was from her 1997 Debut, Supa Dupa Fly.
